Pokémon Mega Festa 2026 in Seongsu, Seoul: Waitlist Tips, Route & Pop-Up Guide
Pokémon Mega Festa 2026 is one of the biggest Seoul pop-up events of the season, with several Pokémon-themed venues spread across Seoul Forest and Seongsu. For foreign visitors, the most important thing to understand is that this is not one single venue. The main Seongsu-area stops are Pokémon Secret Forest in Seoul Forest, metamong PLAYGROUND near Seongsu Station, and the Pokémon 30th Anniversary Party at Trendpot by Olive Young N Seongsu.
This guide is based on my actual Thursday visit and is written for travelers who want a practical Seoul pop-up route: where to start, how the Korean waitlist system worked, how long I actually waited, and which photos are worth prioritizing.
Start at Pokémon Secret Forest near Seoul Forest first, register for the waitlist, then move toward Seongsu Station for metamong PLAYGROUND and the 30th Anniversary Party. This route reduces backtracking because Secret Forest is on the Seoul Forest side, while the other two stops are closer to Seongsu Station.
Pokémon Mega Festa 2026: Dates, Hours and Locations
According to the official Pokémon Korea event Q&A, the overall Pokémon Mega Festa 2026 runs from May 1 to June 21, 2026, but some venues have different dates and closing times. The 30th Anniversary Party ends earlier than Secret Forest and metamong PLAYGROUND, so do not assume every pop-up closes on the same day.
| Pokémon Secret Forest |
Period: May 1 – June 21, 2026 Hours: 12:00 – 19:00 Location: Seoul Forest, Ginkgo Tree Road area Best for: Outdoor forest trail, photo zones, character displays and a more nature-based Seoul pop-up experience. |

Best Route for Foreign Visitors
The cleanest route is to start from the Seoul Forest side and finish toward Seongsu Station. During my visit, I first went to Pokémon Secret Forest and registered for the waitlist. After that, I moved from the Seoul Forest area toward Seongsu Station and checked the other pop-ups.
1. Arrive near Seoul Forest or Ttukseom Station
2. Register for Pokémon Secret Forest waiting first
3. Move toward Seongsu Station
4. Register/check the QR waitlist for metamong PLAYGROUND
5. Register/check the tablet waitlist for the 30th Anniversary Party
6. Use the waiting time for nearby cafés, shops or street photos
7. Return when the entry notification appears
This order matters because the event is spread out. Secret Forest is more connected to Seoul Forest, while the Ditto-themed playground and Olive Young pop-up are more convenient from the Seongsu Station side. If you start randomly, you may waste time walking back and forth.
How the Waitlist System Worked
The most important practical tip is simple: register first, take photos later. On my Thursday visit, the waiting system was faster than the predicted wait time in some cases, but it still required planning.
Pokémon Secret Forest: I registered at around 1:05 p.m., received queue number 953, and entered at around 3:16 p.m..
The actual wait was about 2 hours and 11 minutes.
metamong PLAYGROUND: I registered at around 1:50 p.m. and received an entry notification at around 4:12 p.m..
The actual wait was about 2 hours and 22 minutes.
30th Anniversary Party: I registered at around 1:56 p.m., and the entry notification came later in the afternoon.
The exact minute should be checked from your own notification screenshot before publishing if you want to show the precise number.
For overseas visitors, this can feel confusing because the waitlist process is usually handled in Korean. Do not rely only on standing in front of the venue. Look for staff, QR codes, tablets or entry guidance signs, and make sure your waiting status is properly registered before leaving the area.
Pokémon Secret Forest at Seoul Forest
Pokémon Secret Forest is the most atmospheric part of the Seongsu-area event because it uses the real landscape of Seoul Forest. Instead of a normal indoor shop, it feels like a short outdoor walking route with character displays, flower areas, signs and small photo zones placed along the trail.
This is the section where large full-width photos work best. For Google/Blogger, I would not use every similar photo from the original Naver-style draft. A smaller set of strong images gives readers a clearer sense of the route without slowing the page too much.
metamong PLAYGROUND in Seongsu
metamong PLAYGROUND is closer to the Seongsu Station side and has a more urban pop-up feeling. While Secret Forest works as a walking trail, this stop feels more like a designed Seongsu pop-up street experience, with a strong Ditto-themed visual identity.
When you arrive, check the entry method first. During my route, this was a QR-based waiting flow, and the entry notification came earlier than the predicted time. The safest move is to register, keep the waiting page or notification available, and avoid cancelling the queue by mistake.
Pokémon 30th Anniversary Party at Olive Young N Seongsu
The Pokémon 30th Anniversary Party was located at Trendpot by Olive Young N Seongsu, close to Seongsu Station Exit 4. This stop is easier to combine with Seongsu cafés, shops and other pop-up stores, but it has a shorter operating period than Secret Forest and metamong PLAYGROUND.
If the 30th Anniversary Party is your main goal, visit before May 31, 2026. The official notice also states that the final day closes earlier at 18:00, so do not leave it too late.
Photo Strategy for This Blogger Post
The original photo set is useful, but Google visitors usually do not need a 60–70 photo diary. For this English Blogger version, I reduced the post to 30 large images and used them as supporting evidence for the guide: entrance, route, representative photo zones, Metamong atmosphere and the Olive Young pop-up section.
| Best image type | Wide entrance photos, route boards, distinctive character zones, exterior views and clear store/event signs. |
|---|---|
| Images to avoid | Repeated angles of the same figure, blurry close-ups, overly private waiting screenshots, or photos with clearly visible personal information. |
| Recommended image count | 20–30 images for this type of event guide. More than that can feel heavy for Google search visitors. |
Is Pokémon Mega Festa 2026 Worth Visiting?
Yes, especially if you are already planning to visit Seongsu or Seoul Forest. Secret Forest gives the event a more seasonal outdoor feeling, while metamong PLAYGROUND and the 30th Anniversary Party add the classic Seongsu pop-up experience.
The main downside is not the event itself, but the waiting process. If you register early and plan the route well, the waiting time can become part of a wider Seongsu day instead of wasted time. If you arrive without checking the waitlist, you may spend more time figuring out entry than actually enjoying the pop-ups.
Treat this as a half-day Seongsu route, not a quick 20-minute stop. Register first, check notifications carefully, and use the waiting time to explore cafés, shops and other streets around Seongsu.
